Feedback from previous courses

"The workshops are a great way of challenging depressive and negative thinking patterns that prevent me from making progresss in a forward direction. I began to think I could 'steer' a future, the workshop was fun and aimed at the right level. There was plenty of time for discussion, reflection and feedback. It was a great way of meeting new people who, to my relief, were largely in the same uncertain boat regarding employment"

"This course has put me on a high, and after nearly 20 years looking after my four children it is time for me. I am looking forward to working as a Carer. The course has been 'GREAT' thank you."

"The course was interesting and informative, well delivered and with good content, it was imaginitive with sensetively expressed ideas. It helped me enormously to have free access to the venue via taxis and lunch being provided. Meeting others in a similar situation in an easy going atmosphere I felt that I was able to express myself freely and in a non-judgemental atmosphere. I have enjoyed the past four weeks enormously and am looking forward to more opportunities to work with TIME."

"I beleive the course has massively helped me focus on the true career I want based on the things I found out via the course content. A very good course, friendly, with really positive focus on the future"

"A very well presented course, well delivered with great course content. I particularly liked how laid back the coach's approach was, I never felt under any pressure"

"I would highly recommend this course- I have taken so much away from it (not just the free goody bag!), Thanks very much"

"Some useful concepts that were helpful to evaluate where you want to be. The workshop had a friendly approach which was helpful. The catering was good!"

"The course was well run and I found it good to be able to talk with people who have also gone through the same as I have. I have also made a new friend!"

News

Working with Employers to find the right people! Karen Johnson from Stanley became anxious about the chances of ever getting back to work but Derwentside Employment Team (DET) stepped in at just the right time and found an excellent opportunity with a Consett based company, Durham Legal Services.

Taking Stock! Stewart Whyte from the Green Corridor area of Stanley works part time in the Warehouse at Wilkinson’s’ unloading wagons and taking in deliveries, it’s a far cry from his management position in the finance industry but happiness comes in small packages and Stewart is certainly a happier man these days.
