Its Great to Talk

08 November 2007

The first get together of the Derwentside Employment Team Customer Focus Group took place at Britain’s award winning Beamish Museum. The setting provided a local venue for local people to have their say on the service and support that DET provides. In addition to this members of the group were able to provide feedback on our current marketing and advertising activity, and make recommendations on how to better inform those who would benefit the most.

The main aim of the group was to discuss Customer Service and Communications within Derwentside Employment Team and act upon the feedback given to improve the level of service and the information for the customer.

The second meeting was held in November at Gibside Chapel as requested by the group members. Lara O’Donoghue, DET Administrator has organised the venue to discuss topics such as; the customer experience during mandatory medicals (Personal Capabilities Assessment), employer perceptions and application forms, events and advertising. The Third meeting is scheduled for Februray 2008.
